With its ornate frame, Floraison recalls the character of a classical painting. It is designed after an original 18th-century tapestry from Aubusson, and the composition draws the viewer almost irresistibly into the scene. The panorama is executed on a parchment‑like base, emphasising the authentic origin of the drawing.
